The Art of the Lord
Double Minded-James 1:6-8
Acrylic on Canvas; 30 x 40 in.
6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
Moon- Psalm 104:19
The Process
This piece was inspired by God's creativity and thoughtfulness, specifically during the creation of all things. As I painted I was reminded how every color should be used on every part of an artwork to create unity. I believe God has a similar mindset: that all things are connected. I wanted to portray each season and the harmony between them, with God's moon being the cause. Psalm 104:19: He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.
Acrylic on Paper; 10 x 10 in.
Sun- Genesis 1:14-15

Watercolor; 9 x 10 in.
The Inspiration
Genesis 1:14-15 AMP

14 And God said, “Let there be light bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God's provident care],and for marking seasons, days, and years, 15 and let them be useful as lights in the expanse of the heavens to provide light on the earth.” And it was so. [just as He commanded].

I noticed how God made the lights for our sake, so we may recognize God and His glory. This piece represents seeking the light of the Lord.
God
God is Almighty, amazing, and the Creator of all things. I wanted to capture the immensity of our Lord. There are two main sections of this installation: God's vision and the journey of life.
Acrylic, cloth, installation; 14 x 15x 5 ft.
God's vision section. God's plans prevail. He often sends me visions of what will happen in my life in the future and they always come to be.

Acrylic; 36 X 48 in.

The journey of life section. Trust God throughout every aspect of life. I strive to look to Him and His light, so I won't stumble and fall.
New York Heart

Version 2; Digital
This was memories from my first real time visiting New York. I have been before, but it was for a concert so I was solely focused on that. My favorite part was the feeling of familiarity I got as I explored Queens. The air outside felt the same as the air inside. This was a time in my life where I continuously saw hearts everywhere I looked and it was February so there was no escape. I hope to visit again, God willing.
